Trials and Tribulations of Hair

As you can see, Sam's hair is growing, growing, growing. We have a number of adorable headbands, barettes, hair ties, etc. that she absolutely refuses to let us put in her hair (sorry to all those who have given us cute hair accessories - we've honestly tried...). Her bangs are so long that they're constantly in her eyes. We've been trying to get her to let us pull it back so that we can avoid cutting bangs. Here's one example of our battle:

First, I try to put the band in her hair. You can see that she's thrilled at this proposition.

She's not thrilled but is putting up with it for the moment.

"Mom, why do you do this to me?"

Here's the initial pulling on the ponytail.

And the meltdown begins (ignore the smile on my face, I know it's somewhat inappropriate to smile/laugh while your child is crying. But if you had been through this as many times as we have, you would smile/laugh too.)
And it turns to screaming...
And the meltdown continues...

And escalates (again, ignore the smiles/laughing...)

Given that we're sick of the fight, we're cutting bangs. Up next, pictures of Sam with bangs.
